“Life is more meaningful when our goal is fulfillment rather than gratification.” This is one mo tivation I really endure as I work and become a healthcare professional. Each day of duty is a fullfillment if you used to give the hollistic care on every patient being handled in the area and all of them are recovering with positive outcome. For every goal being achieved, we can proudly say that “I am an effective healthcare professional!”
I pity those people who seeks medical attention to medical professionals but doesn’t even know what their medical oath really means.
I pity those people who doesn’t even know their medical problems and keep on trusting unethical medical professionals who only count digits with their fingers but doesn’t know how to prioritize and even use the triage system.
I pity those people who went to the hospital complaining with their medical problems but the professionals in front of them only cares on their capabilities to pay treatments or how much is the coverage of their insurance was.
I pity those people who wants hope to live but keep losing it due to misdiagnosis or sometimes intentionally wrong statement of medical professionals, just to earn a living of their own which is more about selfishness and greed and not about fullfillment and dedication on their chosen profession.
Corruption is not only happening and seen in politics, it is everywhere! but the worse scenario is that even your own life cannot be save because of this.
How can you trust a professional who always look after their comfortability and forget about empathy? How can you let them assess a patient if they want only is to leave them with the pocket emptied without any guarantee? How can you let them do the diagnosis, if they only want is your money without any basis? How can you let them plan a treatment , if they are only after the income and not the outcome? Do you think they can make the best intervention if money is their possession and the first thing in their profession? What will be the evaluation, is it the best quality? Or maybe the best of the quantity?
I didnt say that all in the medical field are the same but mostly are, maybe if a refresher course is to those who didn’t gain enough practice. I can say a refresher course is merely needed to refresh their minds of the OATH AND ETHICS that they left behind during their medical school years. It is one of the biggest impact and contributions on their medical careers together with their best ever experiences and knowledge.
“It is our attitude toward life that determines life's attitude toward us. We get back what we put out.”
-Earl Nightingale
